Canterbury – Thursday 16 July 2020 at 12pm

At Lisa Williams place, 3/377 Halkett Road, West Melton, Christchurch

The purpose of this meeting is to continue discussion on the abundance of truffle available in the New Zealand market and how this is impacting the grower.

George Wilkinson the New Zealand Truffle Association President will be present to share what the association has achieved to date.  (research project (spore trap), export, seedling verification)

This is also a great time to meet with Lindsay Esler who is willing to share his knowledge on developing co-operatives, and the challenges and tribulations that other niche’ primary industries have occurred throughout their journey into co-operatives.

This meeting is open to anyone in the South Island who is actively involved in Truffles, not just members, as it would be great to get a real gauge on who is producing or proposing to produce in the near future, as this will help guide the industry in its endeavors in the future.  So please spread the word to those who you know have trees etc.
