About Us | The New Zealand Truffle Association (NZTA) is the national body representing the interests of truffle growers, producers, truffle dog teams, researchers, and industry partners across Aotearoa New Zealand. Established in 1990, NZTA was formed by the country’s pioneering truffle growers – people who planted the first inoculated trees and began building an entirely new industry from the ground up. With little local knowledge available at the time, the Association became a vital hub for sharing research, comparing results, and supporting growers as they navigated uncharted territory. More than three decades on, NZTA continues that founding spirit of collaboration. Today we support a maturing and rapidly expanding industry – one that is moving from early experimentation to increasing commercial production and national recognition. NZTA exists to connect people, build capability, promote strong standards, and help shape a confident, credible future for New Zealand truffles. |
